1 pound smoked kielbasa or Polish sausage, cut into 1/2-inch slices2 cups frozen mixed vegetables1 can (14-1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed French onion soup, undiluted1 teaspoon sugar1/4 teaspoon pepper1-1/2 cups uncooked instant rice


In a large saucepan, combine the first six ingredients. Bring to a boil. Stir in rice. Remove from the heat. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes or until rice is tender. Stir before serving.
