Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey1 can (10 ounces) diced tomatoes and green chiles, drained3/4 teaspoon salt1/4 teaspoon pepper8 slices pepper jack cheese8 bakery dinner rolls, split1 medium ripe avocado, peeled and sliced

Directions

In a large bowl, combine turkey, tomatoes, salt and pepper, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Shape into eight 1/2-in.-thick patties. Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from the heat for 5-6 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160°. Top with cheese; cover and grill 1-2 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Serve on rolls with avocado.
